Terms of service

These terms govern use of LawSchoolShortcuts, an independent educational exam-preparation service. By registering for an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the linked Privacy and Refund policies.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement to use the service. Provide accurate account information, safeguard your login, and contact support if you suspect unauthorized access. An account is for one individual and may not be shared or resold.
Educational purpose; no guarantees
LawSchoolShortcuts is a study aid, not a law school, bar examiner, law firm, or provider of legal advice. Question banks, models, AI-generated evaluations and study recommendations can contain errors. Check rules against course instructions and current legal authority. We do not promise any particular grade, admission result, or examination outcome. Using the service does not form an attorney–client relationship.
Original materials and user content
You keep the rights you lawfully hold in outlines, syllabi, and answers you submit. You authorize LawSchoolShortcuts and its service providers to process that material as needed to provide the features you choose. Only upload materials you are allowed to use; do not upload privileged client documents, proprietary exam banks, or third-party personal information without permission. The service’s original questions, interfaces, and other original content are not licensed for copying or redistribution.
Permitted use
Do not scrape or redistribute the question bank, automate abusive requests, interfere with service operation, circumvent limits or access controls, impersonate another person, upload malware, or use the site unlawfully. We may restrict or suspend abusive accounts, subject to applicable law.
Membership plans and billing
The Free plan includes limited questions per course. Monthly Pro costs $9.99 per month and renews automatically until canceled. The Semester Pass costs $29.99 once and provides up to 120 days of Pro access without automatic renewal. Taxes, if applicable, are displayed at checkout. Subscription and card payments are managed through Stripe. AI features have plan-specific usage limits shown on the Pricing page and in the application.
Cancellation
You can cancel a monthly subscription through Manage Subscription on the Pricing page after signing in, using the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; paid access ordinarily remains until the end of the current paid billing period. The Semester Pass ends after 120 days without renewal. If the portal does not work, contact support. Canceling a subscription does not by itself issue a refund.
Refunds
You may request a refund for a charge within seven (7) calendar days after that charge. This includes eligible initial purchases and monthly renewal charges. Requests are handled under the posted Refund and Cancellation Policy; statutory consumer rights are not limited by this policy.
Changes and availability
We may correct content, add or remove features, and perform maintenance. Temporary interruptions are possible. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes affecting paid plans. If we change these terms, the updated date will be shown; mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.
Limitation of responsibility
The service is offered as an educational tool, not a substitute for faculty instruction or professional judgment. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that any model answer is free from errors. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
