Practice that requires active recall
We emphasize issue spotting, applying rules to facts, and written responses rather than only rereading. Retrieval practice is supported by research on long-term learning.
How we approach learning
LawSchoolShortcuts exists to help students practice and improve. Here’s what the platform is—and what it is not.
We emphasize issue spotting, applying rules to facts, and written responses rather than only rereading. Retrieval practice is supported by research on long-term learning.
The Outline Workspace is designed around your own course materials. AI suggests gaps and potential corrections, but it cannot know every professor’s emphasis, jurisdiction, or unique exam instructions.
AI feedback, scores, flashcards, and model answers may be inaccurate or incomplete. Verify statutes, cases, doctrinal exceptions, and course-specific rules. AI scores are study estimates, not official law school grades.
Study outlines and attempts are associated with student accounts and governed by app access controls. Uploaded text is processed by the app and, when you use AI features, sent to the configured AI service. Avoid including private client information or other sensitive details.
Research on retrieval practice and spacing suggests that repeatedly bringing knowledge to mind, with time between review sessions, supports retention. Our recommendation tools are designed around those principles; they are not a guarantee of any academic result.
